WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Karen Marie Selling price, Watertown, handed away August 18, 2021. She was 56 a long time aged.

Karen was born on November 18, 1964 to Beryl Glendale (Gamble) Jones (Handed January 27, 2015) and Charles Wray Fanton.

Karen graduated from Carthage Senior High School and went on to get her Bachelor’s Diploma in Alcoholism and Material Abuse Counseling. Karen Researched Material Abuse at SUNY Empire Point out Higher education, School for Graduate Scientific studies.

Karen lived lifetime with vigor. She was passionate about assisting some others. Particularly with Drug and Alcohol recovery and help to the local community. Karen shared with men and women in humorous and upbeat way. You felt better and much better just after speaking to Karen and often felt cherished. She loved viewing horror flicks, horseback riding, sewing, and something concerned with the ocean. Karen preferred the outdoors, her doggy Chole and cat Mercy. Horses, Hiking, Cross Nation Skiing with her brothers, Capturing, and animals of all kinds.

The Bible, her pastor, Beverly Sills and the Day-to-day Bread gave KAREN INSPIRATION. KAREN SOUGHT TO SHARE THAT INSPIRATION Each Working day OF HER Life. From James 1:2-4 Karen reflected “Trials are the soil in which religion grows.” (Every day Bread). With her daughter Christina, Karen would say “THIS Too SHALL PASS” During the moments of difficulty.

Karen was the previous Assessment and Referral Expert at Pivot 2 Health, previous CASAC and CPS Caseworker at Jefferson County DSS (this is unique because only 2 men and women in northern New York accomplish this qualification), former Alcoholic beverages and Drug Counselor – CASAC at Samaritan Addiction Services and previous Liquor and Drug Counselor – CASAC at Credo Neighborhood Center. She continued to support and encourage several strugging with habit right after her purpose as a compound abuse counselor.

Karen was a Member of Very first Baptist Church of Watertown, Rev Jeffery E. Smith.

Karen was preceded in demise by her mom Beryl, her grandparents: Mary Gamble and Walter Church. She is survived by her father Charles her Daughter Christina Desmond (Fiancee Josh), her Uncle David Gordon, her sister Debra Sue Roy(Yarbrough), Her brothers: Lam Ray Yarbrough, Michael Duane Yarbrough, Troy Ellis Fanton and Wray Charles Fanton. Besides Nathan Charles Darou and Amanda Mary Roy, Karen has several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many cousins.

The funeral will be 2:00pm Friday, August 27th at Reed & Benoit Funeral Property, Watertown. Contacting hrs will precede the support at the funeral property beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will be held at the advantage of her relatives.
